Mecca Beauty Haul

I love shopping at Mecca - I just can't resist when the Beauty Loop boxes come in! With all the beautiful Christmas sets they have in, I'll probably end up making another order - I have to claim my free birthday gift after all. I wanted to share what I bought (and one product I was kindly gifted for my birthday) in a post - which is really just an excuse to take some nice photos! Here's my haul...

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Light
This year I have been having some serious problems with oily skin and makeup longevity, so I have been on the search for a primer that keeps my makeup in place but doesn't react with my skin as it's so temperamental. I tried the NARS Pore & Shine Control Primer but it was breaking me out and didn't really do anything. I think this Smashbox offering is better, however it seems to only work with certain foundations as it is silicone-based. I don't wear it all the time, but I'll see how it goes in the next couple of months - I only got the small size so I didn't drop a load of money on it.

Hair by Sam McKnight Modern Hairspray Mist
I can't quite believe I spent nearly $50 on a hairspray/hair product, but here we are! I wanted a hairspray that didn't leave my hair feeling gross and crunchy and everyone seems to love this one. The packaging is really pretty too, I won't lie. When they say this is a lightweight hairspray I would have to agree. I think this is the perfect product to set styles and also add a little bit of texture, however I'm going to save this until I get my hair cut shorter (I can't bloody wait), as I don't tend to style my hair too much when it's long. Could you find something as good as this for cheaper? Probably! I don't know if I'll repurchase for that reason.

Diptyque Eau Duelle EDT
I've been wanting to buy a new fragrance for a while now, but I really wanted to find one that was 'me' - a signature perfume and one that I'd wear every day. I had been contemplating splurging on this Diptyque one when my sister only went and and bought it for me for my birthday! Mind reader, or what? Turns out she's just very observant. I'm so happy this is in my life - I love it! Eau Duelle has a spicy vanilla fragrance that is soft yet dark. I absolutely love these kind of scents and I'm happy I've found a fragrance I can finally call my own.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
An old favourite I've mentioned plenty of times here on the blog, but the concealer I keep coming back to. The last one I had lasted surprisingly well which I'm very happy about as it isn't the most affordable.

As mentioned above, I also got my Mecca Beauty Loop Box with some samples. Although I was level one when I made the order, I've now reached level 2 (crikey, I need to get my spending in check!). One of the items was the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Matte Lipstick in Sell Out. I'm so pleased I got this, because although historically I dislike matte formulas, I actually love the colour of this - it's the perfect soft pinky brown. While I have yet to test out the formula for an entire day, the shade really suits me and I'm looking forward to wearing it! The other larger sample was the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner. Although I don't really have time to do liquid eyeliner these days (sad face), I really rate this one - I love that it has a flexible tip as it makes dragging it along the eye really easy. I've only worn it for one day, but it had great pigment and stayed on well.

Have you tried any of these products?
