This month's favourites is a mixed bunch - from the perfect matte lip product to synchronised swimming.
After some more testing I have come to the conclusion that I love the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams and I definitely want more (the good nude colours are usually always sold out where I look though!). I love matte formulas with lipsticks and while this one is drying after a while, I love the way it looks. With a thin coat it doesn't feel overly drying unless you've been wearing it for hours. The smell of these are so nice as well.
If you're a fan of Wes Anderson or The Grand Budapest Hotel you will probably like this phone case. I kind of love buying phone cases that include reference to my favourite pop culture things and this one is no exception. This case is from Red Bubble, a site where you can choose from many different designs for different products. Side note: I recently smashed my phone screen (never thought I would be that person) and that is soo not fun.
Without a doubt, British teen comedy Girl Out of Water is my favourite book of the month. I absolutely couldn't put this one down. Despite the slightly childish looking cover (I'd say don't judge it on this aspect) this book was funny, clever and entertaining. Lou, the protagonist, basically starts teaching three boys how to do synchronised swimming so they can perform a routine at a talent show. This had a bit of an Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging vibe to it and there was never a dull moment. I genuinely laughed out loud a number of times and I don't really do that often with books!
From books straight back over to beauty, and a clear skincare favourite has been this cleansing gel. I featured it in my skincare routine post a few weeks ago and I think it's going to be sticking around for a while. I'm glad I spent the money on it because it cleanses my skin really well unlike some other cleansers I've tried and leaves my skin hydrated at the same time. I just had to feature this in a favourites post because it hadn't made an appearance yet.
