This Week: Cafes, Holidays & Quantity vs Quality

Hey everyone. I haven't done a 'This Week' post in about a month and that's because I didn't feel inspired to write them anymore, but I definitely think I'll start doing them again now - but maybe not every week if I don't feel like it. I guess the personal element to my blog has gone a little lately as I've been writing on other things and working on blog posts I'm really excited to share. I've been writing less posts recently but sticking to things that I feel like will make a really great blog post (and taking and editing photos I'm happy with). I've got a post coming up on how my photographic process for my blog, so if you're interested in the photography side of things on blogs, that could be something you might like to read.

One thing I'll mention about my blog is that I think I'm really enjoying making quality blog posts where it may take me a little longer to get the perfect shots and edits, but in the end I don't feel like I'm forcing myself to do it. It's something I enjoy, and something to be reminded of is that there are no rules in blogging.

So since it's been so long, I guess I'll tell you a little about what's been going on in my life. I'm currently nearing the mid term break for this semester and it's gone very fast but I'm so grateful to be getting a bit of time off in a week (however, I'm sure I'll have lots to do for my assignments during the two weeks). It's been a little stressful lately but I think I've got through the worst of it, including a nerve-wracking group presentation (literally my least favourite thing ever), but now that's done I feel quite glad and a little proud of myself.

Between the assignments I've been making sure to spend time with friends and lately I've been heading to a cafe on High Street called Chuffed. I think it's pretty well known with Auckland locals, but this is a cute little place I recommend checking out. Both times I've been I've had eggs on toast as you can't go wrong with that, but from the look of other people's food everything looks really nice. It's basically instagram heaven too, so you know, you can keep that in mind too. For this semester I have most of Friday's off so it's amazing to just finish early and go for brunch at a cafe. I've said it before, but I'll say it again, having amazing cafes and cute places to go to during Uni breaks is one of my favourite things about this whole thing.

I'm currently binge-watching American Horror Story while it begins to get warmer - Spring is just around the corner! I hope you guys have a lovely day and I'll speak to you soon.
