Beauty Haul: Sephora + Drugstore

While away in Hawaii I picked up a few bits and pieces from the drugstore price range as well as a couple of things from Sephora. I had heard extremely good things about the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes, so I felt I should get one. The one I got was Blushing Bride (3) as I felt this would just be a nice rosy pink flush of colour (it's so stressful trying to swatch things in store and trying to figure out what one to get). I also got the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask (10) which I saw essiebutton using in a recent vlog. I've used it once and it gives your skin moisture and softness, so it's a thumbs up from me.

The Essie nail polishes are so expensive in New Zealand so I really wanted to get a couple of them in America. There wasn't the best selection in the place I bought them from, but ended up going for Smokin' hot (a muted purple grey-brown colour) and Soulmate (a dark purple) - (7&8). I bought one of the Rimmel lipsticks (apparently this was a new colour) in 30 (5) which is a pinky purple berry shade that looks pinker/lighter than in the photo. I really love these lipsticks - I find you can't go wrong with them and they really last. I got a concealer which is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind one (2). The shade I picked up was Light/Fair I believe, and it was in white packaging unlike the other shades which I was a bit unsure about but the colour is quite good for my skin.

I also happened to pick up a cheaper blush - the NYX powder blush in Pinky/Rose (9) which is the perfect flattering colour for me. I also wanted to try the famous Maybelline Miss Manga mascara (1) - this is available in NZ now but I thought I might as well just get it there. I was a little unsure when I used this at first because the wand is so floppy and a bit useless feeling, but this lengthens and curls my lashes so much. It's not the best to use for quick application as I feel I can spend a bit of time making sure my eyelashes don't look to spidery like, but overall I do like this. I also got the Dove Dry Shampoo (6) which isn't available in NZ. I really, really love this - finally a dry shampoo that doesn't make my hair feel gross! I wish I could get it here because I will probably want to repurchase. The last item pictured here is the Peach Cream Body Scrub (4) from the Body Shop (it's cheaper there) which I've tried once and absolutely love. I love the scent and it makes my skin feel so smooth.

Surprisingly I didn't pick up any Lush whilst away, but it was the same price/possibly more expensive in America than in NZ anyway. Hope you liked musing at this post, I'll see you for another one shortly. x
